In Tuva, a road was blocked due to snow melting – Kommersant

In Tuva, due to the melting of the snow mass, a section on the 45th kilometer of the Mugur-Aksy-Khandagayty highway was closed. This was reported by the local department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

“On the 45th kilometer of the Mugur-Aksy-Khandagayty regional highway in the town of Barlyk, a mass of snow fell from the mountain. The passage is temporarily closed to all types of transport. Equipment is working to clear the road,” the department reported in Telegram.

From December 5 to 8, avalanche danger has been declared in the mountains of Tuva, Krasnoyarsk Territory and Khakassia. Today, December 7, weather forecasters predict a sharp drop in temperature, icy conditions, strong gusts of wind and a snowstorm in Tuva. Residents are advised not to go to ski and mountaineering routes.

In Khakassia, due to snowfall and ice on the roads, restrictions were introduced for passenger transport. Meanwhile, an abnormal amount of snow fell in Krasnoyarsk and its environs. There is also a difficult situation on the roads of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
