On Wednesday, December 27, a renovated weightlifting gym opened in the Zarechensky district of Tula. The building on Maxim Gorky Street was thoroughly renovated and improved. The city administration reports this.
The building, built in 1978, has never undergone major renovations. But in the past year, a lot of work has been done: interior decoration, replacement of the heating system, plumbing, lighting and sewerage. Locker rooms and showers have also been updated.
They plan to admit 30 more children to the renovated hall – now all conditions have been created for this. Specialists even installed two additional sports platforms and installed new exercise equipment. The head of the city administration, Ilya Bespalov, clarified that about 12 million rubles were invested in the renovation of the building.
“The city administration pays special attention to weightlifting; it is an Olympic sport,” noted the city manager.
According to Bespalov, the results of the development of this sport are already visible, as Tula weightlifters become champions.
In addition, Ilya Bespalov wished the young athletes to set goals for themselves and achieve new heights.
Previously “MK in Tula” wrotethat the Mikhailov Academy has been replenished with new hockey players. Among them are hockey player from Samara Ilya Klinovsky and native of Tyumen Evgeny Boyarkin.
