An action for the exchange of goods for a hobby “Green Saturday. Muscovites brought more than 500 items for creativity, including sets for weaving with colored rubber bands, creating jewelry, painting plates, diamond mosaics, knitting, crafts from epoxy resin and soap making.
Swap participants were most interested in items for knitting and creating jewelry and souvenirs from epoxy resin. Compared to them, even scrapbooking has lost ground.
It was knitting needles, yarn, resins, silicone spatulas and acrylic primer that acquired new owners the fastest.
In addition, Muscovites brought ribbons, wooden blanks for wall clocks, a soap base, essential oils, silicone molds for soap, floss, threads and pieces of fabric for sewing, buttons, gouache and acrylic paints, decoupage napkins, pictures for scrapbooking and even accessories for jewelry. Even the author’s unfinished dress and suit were on the swap.
“Green Saturday” has become a great alternative to going to the store. Regular participants note that now eco-friendly habits can be profitable, you can take the things you like absolutely free of charge, and at the same time free up living space by giving away something unnecessary. And the networking function, which is very important for Muscovites, is provided by various activities, master classes, thanks to which participants can spend their leisure time here and acquire new skills,” said Anton Kulbachevsky, Head of the Moscow Department of Nature Management and Environmental Protection.
The next “Green Saturday” in Moscow will be held on November 26. It is dedicated to the exchange of equipment and clothing for sports. You can always see the full schedule of “Green Saturdays” with the addresses of exchange points on the project website.
