The government of the Voronezh region in its Telegram channel announced restrictions on the sale and use of pyrotechnics during the three days of the presidential election – March 15, 16 and 17. This decision was made at a meeting of the anti-terrorism commission and operational headquarters in the Voronezh region, chaired by Governor Alexander Gusev.

“Under the conditions of a special operation in Ukraine, Voronezh residents are showing increased vigilance and are sensitive to loud sounds. The “pops” of pyrotechnics can cause a particularly acute reaction during mass events,” the government explained.

Previously, the authorities of the Voronezh region limited use of pyrotechnics during New Year’s holidays. Fireworks and firecrackers until the end of January could not be launched on the territory of the Belgorod and Kursk regions bordering Ukraine. Prohibitions acted and in the Tambov and Lipetsk regions remote from the border.
