A 12-year-old resident of the US state of Florida caught a three-meter shark with a bait when he was fishing, informs ABC news.
According to the source, the boy ended up in Florida for a reason: together with his family, he came to support his sister, who came to the hockey competition. And when the family had a free minute, the Campbells went fishing.
Note that 12-year-old Keenan Campbell was not the first time on a fishing boat. As the teenager himself says, this is his favorite hobby.
To catch the shark, Keenan needed the help of the ship’s captain. It turned out that the boy caught a white shark at least three meters long. In total, it took about 45 minutes to catch the fish.
Nevertheless, the shark had to be released: the fact is that local laws prohibit catching them. The fishermen measured the fish and put a mark on it so that specialists could track its migration pattern in the future, and released it. The shark was nicknamed Yang Yang, which is the name of Keenan’s sister’s trainer, who was also present on the fishing boat at the time.
