A court in Cleveland (USA) sentenced two fishermen to real prison terms for cheating at competitions, writes the Daily Mail.
Jacob Runyan, 43, and Chase Kominsky, 36, reportedly conceived and executed their scam last September at a lightfin zander fishing tournament in Ohio. Before weighing the catch, they placed lead sinkers in the fish, which gave them victory.
Thanks to fraud, the fishermen received a prize of about 28 thousand dollars.
The court sentenced them to 10 days of a real prison term and another one and a half years of probation. In addition, a boat worth $100,000 was confiscated from one of them, and both had their fishing licenses revoked for 3 years. Both pleaded guilty.
