The US authorities sent a request to the federal court of Argentina with a request to provide information on the case of the entry into the country of pregnant citizens of the Russian Federation.
According to La Nacion, the corresponding request was sent by employees of the Department of Homeland Security, who believe that such visits by pregnant Russian women may concern the national interests of the United States.
“Access to an Argentinean passport makes it possible to obtain a visa to the United States for up to 10 years. This case concerns the United States,” the source said.
Recall that in February six pregnant Russian women were detained at the Argentine airport. According to the migration authorities of the country, Russian citizens tried to enter the country for a false reason. At the moment, the Argentine authorities are investigating agencies that helped Russians with childbirth and obtaining local documents. A child born in Argentina acquires the citizenship of that country.
