In the Ulyanovsk region, a mandatory mask regime has been introduced in pharmacies, social security institutions, as well as on public transport. The corresponding decree was signed by Governor Alexei Russkikh, informs press service of the regional government.
The reason for the introduction of the mask regime was a sharp increase in the incidence of COVID-19. Over the past day, the number of infected people was 420 people. Previously, masks were required only in medical facilities. In places of mass stay of citizens, their wearing is still advisory in nature.
At the end of August, at an operational meeting with the governor, the head of the regional department of Rosprirodnadzor (RPN) Elena Dubovitskaya saidthat, taking into account the recommendations of the central office of the RPN, the department sent to the governor “proposals on the resumption of the mask regime in public places, in crowded places, as well as in public transport and indoors.”
