In the Uporovsky district of the Tyumen region, a planned evacuation of residents has been announced due to the threat of flooding due to floods. As reported in regional government information centerthis applies to eight settlements.

According to the regional government, some streets in the villages of Uporovo, Korkino, Byzovo, Nikolaevka (Severnaya St., 11 and 11a), and part of the villages of Chernaya, Chashchina, Staraya Shadrina (Beregovaya St., outbuildings) are at risk of flooding. The village of Gubina may be completely flooded.

“Residents whose households fall into a zone of probable flooding are urged to take care in advance of the safety of their property, farm animals and pets and calmly move to relatives, friends or to a temporary accommodation center,” the message says.

By data as of this morning, April 15, the level of the Tobol River near the village of Uporovo is 458 cm, over the past 24 hours it has dropped by 22 cm. The level of the reservoir near the village of Korkino is 395 cm, it has dropped by 5 cm.

In the Tyumen region, due to floods, a state of emergency was introduced on April 8. According to Governor Alexander Moor, it was introduced “in advance”, since an increase in water levels is predicted in the Ishim and Tobol rivers. According to the head of Roshydromet, Igor Shumkov, the flood most likely threatens the villages of Ilyinka, Abatskoye and Vikulovo, and its peak will occur on April 23–25.
