Rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Tuva for the sixth day continue to look for a 72-year-old woman who went to collect wild plants. Over 300 km of taiga were surveyed during the prospecting work. 74 people were involved in the search for the woman.
How clarified in the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations, a woman went to collect wild useful plants on August 13 with a group. Everyone walked together, but at some point the woman stopped responding. Relatives turned to the rescuers.
Ground teams are involved in the search, unmanned aerial vehicles and six pieces of equipment are involved. At night, searches continue by rescuers and a group of unmanned aircraft equipped with a thermal imager. On August 16, the Ministry of Emergency Situations decided to attract an additional grouping of forces and means.
The department noted that the area of the forest, where searches are carried out, is 30 thousand hectares. Among the searchers are rescuers, firefighters, employees of the Ministry of Nature, as well as volunteers and the police.
