Bus service has resumed between the city of Genichesk in the Kherson region and Simferopol in the Crimea, TASS reports.
Reportedly, the departure of the bus from the bus station in Genichesk occurred with a slight delay. At the same time, almost all places in public transport were occupied.
Previously, traffic was suspended from 12 August. According to the Ministry of Transport of the Kherson region, the routes from Genichesk, Nova Kakhovka, Novotroitsk to Crimea were suspended until the restoration of the Chongarsky bridge damaged by shelling.
Acting Governor of the Kherson region Volodymyr Saldo announced the timing of the work to restore the Chongarsky bridge, which was damaged as a result of the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine – this may take a month or even more.
