An Indian citizen who arrived from Delhi was hospitalized in the Tambov region with signs of an acute intestinal infection of unclear etiology. In the course of laboratory tests, a cholera-like pathogen was detected in him.

The man’s condition is assessed as satisfactory, he is receiving medical assistance. Regional Department of Rospotrebnadzor reported, which conducts anti-epidemic measures at the patient’s place of residence – in a hotel for labor migrants in Rasskazovo. Rospotrebnadzor specialists organized a set of preventive and anti-epidemic measures in the hotel, determining the circle of people who had contact with the sick person. Medical examinations, laboratory examinations and disinfection of premises were carried out. The department emphasized that no signs of an infectious disease were detected among the contacts.
