The governor of the Sverdlovsk region, Yevgeny Kuyvashev, has softened the ban on the use of unmanned aerial vehicles, which was introduced on May 4 “in order to ensure the safety of the inhabitants of the region and critical infrastructure.”
As follows from the new version of the governor’s decree, drones can be used to monitor the state of the subsoil, track the operation of power grids, road facilities, the state of oil refineries and gas transmission networks.
To use drones, owners must document the purpose of the equipment. The exception applies only to authorities.
