In the Stavropol Territory, the Budyonnovsky garrison military court passed a sentence on a mobilized man for leaving his place of service. The man was sentenced to five years in a penal colony, the press service of the garrison military courts of Stavropol reported.
It is noted that the man admitted his guilt and repented of his deed.
“For the commission of this crime, taking into account the circumstances mitigating the punishment, the serviceman was sentenced to imprisonment for a period of five years with a sentence to be served in a correctional colony of general regime,” the court said.
The man was called up for partial mobilization. In early October, he left the place of service, went to the village of Smolenskaya and lived there until December. In December, he came to law enforcement agencies and reported that he had left his place of service.
The verdict has not yet entered into force, the man can appeal.
