In the Smolensk region, the Federal Penitentiary Service Spartakiad opened with cross-country skiing

About fifty representatives from 11 divisions of the regional penal system took part in the races.
Men competed at a distance of 5 kilometers, women 3 kilometers. The competition was held in both the individual and team championships.
Ski racing traditionally opens the department’s Spartakiad. Next, throughout the year, physical education teams from the Federal Penitentiary Service of the Smolensk Region will compete in eight more disciplines. These are shooting, mini-football, volleyball, swimming, cross-country athletics, service biathlon, weights, table tennis.
The best will represent the Federal Penitentiary Service at the regional Dynamo Spartakiad among all law enforcement agencies in the region.
This year the special forces team won the cross-country skiing. In second place is the management team. The bronze medalists of the race are employees of colony settlement No. 7.
In the women’s individual competition, Anastasia Ilyenkova from the Administration’s apparatus has won for the first year in a row. The winner among men, for the second year in a row, is the representative of the pre-trial detention center, Nikita Mikhailov. Last year, Nikita was one of the top three winners among representatives of all law enforcement agencies in the region.
