TV review of the week
The backstage of the circus seems to be created for comedy, but there are not many TV series with such plots. It can be assumed that the producers are stopped by the inevitable difficulties associated with the technical content of the arena and everything that surrounds it. The creators of the series “Circus” decided to test their strength and did a good job.
The main characters of the series find themselves in a circus doing correctional work and inevitably become participants in a real slapstick show. The caretaker and the director discover their teaching abilities, the illusionist’s signature trick is a variety of setups, the trainer waves a whip, it’s better not to joke with a knife thrower in love, the elephant, tiger and bear behave accordingly.
It’s difficult to fault the series for its thoroughbred humor and exciting plot, but the fact that the writers have moved away from the family intrigues that have been so popular lately and moved the action to the circus is incredibly refreshing both the picture and the course of events. The surroundings themselves play a rather bright role here. A man in bear skin next to a real bear is already a rather comical situation in which no dialogue is required. Chasing an elephant is from the same series as flying under a dome performed by someone who does it absolutely against his will.
In such a situation, nothing supernatural is required from the actors, and the main luck is probably that everyone ended up in the right place. The youth trio Kiryachok-Zlobin-Sigalov fit well into the images of real specialists in creating problems. Experienced Valyushkina, Khaev, Dobrynin and Sterzhakov traditionally do not spoil the furrows. And then there are the Zapashny brothers.
Celebrity cameos tend to be pretty routine. A media person needs to enter the frame and say something. For example, give strict orders to measure the tiger’s temperature rectally. And here Edgard Zapashny, of course, will not let you down. But in “Circus” this was not all. As a result, Edgard was pretty much thrown into the corners of the elite dressing room, a knife was thrown at Askold, and in both cases the famous trainers proved themselves to be comedic actors. Some kind of circus.
EARLY RISERS
It is customary to expect informative light-heartedness from morning programs, in which bad weather may be the main problem. In our times, this is, of course, an unattainable luxury, but some people do not give up trying.
“Damn, this is too difficult!” – the astrologer cheerfully declares in the new morning show on TNT. The blogger style persistently intrudes into television, which, of course, hurts the ear, but still does not frighten, in contrast to the perhaps more television language of some socio-political programs.
However, with or without such excesses, the creators of the new morning show on TNT are clearly building their own ideal world, closed from external shocks. Here they look for sensations among the presenters and sometimes even succeed in this. Here Anna Khilkevich, probably the most famous of the entire project team, announced her third pregnancy, which provided a reason for conversations on this topic for many programs to come.
It all looks very nice and completely serene, which, of course, pleases those who don’t want to spoil their breakfast with news. Previously, programs on “Moscow-24” were a beautiful background for the morning routine. However, the clanking current agenda made its way there too. I wonder how long Khilkevich and Co. will last?
