In the Saratov region, on behalf of the prosecutor of the region Sergey Filipenko, inspections of the operation of animal shelters operating in the region were organized. This was reported press office supervisory authority.
The prosecutor’s office of the region intends, with the involvement of specialists from the veterinary department of the regional government, to assess the requirements of veterinary and sanitary and epidemiological legislation and other standards for keeping animals.
The inspection was organized in connection with violations, identified in a private shelter “Rich” in the Gagarinsky district of Saratov. Volunteers found more than 80 corpses of cats and dogs piled in a dumpster there.
According to the results of the prosecutor’s check against the director of the shelter, Yulia Klimova were excited cases under Part 1 of Art. 10.6 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (violation of animal quarantine rules and other veterinary and sanitary rules), part 1 of Art. 10.7 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (concealment of the case), part 3 of Art. 10.8 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (violation of the rules for the disposal of biological waste).
