The interim governor of the Ryazan region, Pavel Malkov, announced the evacuation of two settlements due to the oncoming fire from forest fires. Partially evacuate residents of the village of Deulino, Ryazan region, 25 residents of the village of Olgino, Klepikovskiy region, are completely evacuated.
“Due to worsening weather conditions, temporary resettlement of residents of two settlements has been announced. This is necessary for the safety of people and the regrouping of firefighters to strengthen the protection of settlements from a possible transition of fire,” said Mr. Malkov.
Residents can leave in their own cars or use the provided buses. They will be placed in temporary accommodation centers.
Pavel Malkov also said that information about the proximity of fires to the village of Kultuki, Klepikovskiy district, Ryazan region, is not true. “The smoke in the village is caused by a change in the direction of the wind,” he said. According to him, the source of fire is located at a distance of 10 km from the village, firefighters were sent there to extinguish it.
At the moment, an emergency mode has been introduced in three districts of the Ryazan region due to fires. On August 17, smog and fumes from the Ryazan fires reached Moscow. Mayor Sergei Sobyanin sent to the Ryazan region 78 units of equipment, including airplanes and helicopters, as well as 240 rescuers. August 18 to the region flew out the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Alexander Kurenkov, to lead the firefighting.
