Suspect arrested in Birobidzhan for collecting information for SBU
In Birobidzhan, law enforcement officers arrested a suspect in collecting information for the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the press service of the FSB department for the Jewish Autonomous Region said.
As noted, the investigative unit of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation for the region opened a criminal case against the man under article 275.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (cooperation on a confidential basis with a foreign state).
According to the FSB, a representative of the Ukrainian special service attracted a resident of the city to interact “on a material basis.” The suspect was performing tasks to collect information about the activities of the Russian army in the special operation zone. He was also looking for performers to carry out sabotage on the transport infrastructure, the FSB stressed. He sent the collected information to the SBU.
