In Russia it was proposed to equalize citizens in support measures for any registration

Director of the Institute for the Study of Contemporary Politics Anton Orlov expressed the idea of the need to unify the approach to providing social assistance to citizens, regardless of their registration. Writes about this RT.

A proposal for equal rights for citizens to receive support was made in Russia.

In his address, the political scientist noted that in each region of Russia, issues of social support for young families with children are regulated by regional laws.

Often these regulations place special emphasis on the registration of citizens in the region, which ultimately affects the amount of social support available to families.

For example, if a family has permanent registration in a certain region, their child automatically receives all social benefits.

However, if a family lives in the region for a long time, both parents work officially, pay taxes in this region, all family members are Russian citizens but have temporary registration, their child may lose certain rights, Orlov explained.

“Therefore, I ask you to consider the possibility of amending federal legislation and other regulations to establish an obligation for the constituent entities of the Russian Federation to provide the same conditions for receiving social support for all Russian citizens living in the region, regardless of their registration,” the text of the appeal says.
