The Russian government has decided to transfer the maintenance of gas equipment in apartments and private houses to gas distribution companies from September 1. The decree, signed by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin, is aimed at ensuring the safety of using gas networks in various types of residential premises.
According to information received by TASS from the press service of the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation, from September 1, 2023, only gas distribution organizations will carry out maintenance of in-house and in-house gas equipment. The measures taken are aimed at improving the level of safety and preventing possible emergencies both in apartment buildings and in private buildings.
Currently, in Russia it is allowed to attract various organizations to service gas systems in one house. However, the new regulation provides for a unified approach, according to which only gas distribution companies will be responsible for the maintenance of gas equipment inside residential premises.
