In the Russian city, a schoolgirl was noticed on skis: “I fulfilled the standards for physical education”

Scandal with “bullying a 10th grader” turned out to be a video recording

“The girl was forced to wind around the school 10 laps on skis in the summer!” – such news blew up social networks in Yekaterinburg. A woman, passing by school No. 85 on Serafima Deryabina Street, saw an outrageous picture: a teenage girl is trying to cross the grass and earth on skis. A tenth grader said that she had not passed her winter physical education tests, so the teacher forced her to ski on the grass for the sake of an assessment. A passer-by, herself also a teacher, was indignant: how can colleagues mock children! I took a photo of a girl on skis and posted it on the Web.

However, the school denied that the girl passed any standards. “Olesya (not her real name) left her skis with her class teacher in the lab, didn’t pick them up on time,” explains the head teacher of the school, Irina Burykina. Like, when the 10th graders got together for skiing, she came up with the idea to shoot a comic video for graduation on the topic “skiing in summer”. The head teacher emphasized that Olesya has already been certified in physical education.

Officially, the school year for students who do not take exams ended on May 26. Now those schools where the OGE-Unified State Examination will not take place are already closed, although teachers work, they go on vacation closer to mid-June (the specific date is determined by the school administration). “MK” asked the head teacher of the Moscow school Lidia Leonidova to comment on the situation with skis.

– Without touching the ethical side of the matter, purely organizationally, I think that it was a joke of the students, – says Leonidova. – In the 10th grade, children are graded for six months. For the second half of the year, the assessment is usually already on the 20th of May. By law, all final certification must be issued two calendar days before the end of the last quarter or trimester of the academic year. That is, in June, she could no longer finish anything. Such a task could become the subject of litigation by the parents. This topic is often taught in schools. I do not believe that such a violation is possible now in such a large city.

“MK” managed to contact Alexandra, the mother of a student at school No. 85 in Yekaterinburg. She also believes that the skiing incident was staged.

– Yes, you just do not know our school, – says Alexandra. – I studied here myself, now my son is in the 4th grade. I do not claim that this is the best school in the city – we have cool gymnasiums in Yekaterinburg, but ours is not the last in the city, it is in the top 200. But most importantly, in our 85th wonderful teachers, a very good atmosphere in the school. It’s always been that way, even when I was a student. Our physical education was taught by the legendary physical instructor Svetofor, Sergei Andreevich. And Zoya Andreevna Kolomeets is generally a legend. In addition to her, in the 85th two more women are physical education teachers. Both are young and very nice. In general, in our school such a punishment is simply impossible at all. And the teachers are very tolerant, democratic, I would say, they look at everything. On the appearance, on hairstyles, etc. And the last thing – we have a video surveillance system “Safe Yekaterinburg” at our school. There are many cameras, they are installed both in the yard and around the perimeter. If such savagery were true, the cameras would have recorded it in detail.

However, the story itself about a girl skiing in the summer does not at all seem fantastic or taken from a series about a physical education teacher, where such a song sounds (the children filmed the video for it, they say at school). In public, the situation was discussed quite seriously and opinions, as usual, were divided. While some Yekaterinburg residents were indignant, while others were joking, remembering the couplet about “skiing in a hammock”, there were many who sympathized with the teacher. “They brought the physical pen to the handle”, “arrogant, lazy to do physical education”, “I send rays of support to the teacher”, and so on.

Interestingly, in 2018, a similar case was in the Bashkir Sterlitamak. The girl in the summer on skis cheerfully defiled through the city center. But this, too, had nothing to do with physical education lessons – most likely, she lost or on a bet, the locals decided.
