The operational headquarters of the Rostov region decided to introduce a temporary ban on the use of pyrotechnic products in the region from December 1, 2023 to March 1, 2024. The regional governor announced this in his Telegram channel. Vasily Golubev.

The head of the region said that the decision was discussed at a meeting of the government of the Rostov region on November 22, and the corresponding decree will be signed in the near future. “There are pyrotechnic products that we do not prohibit: firecrackers, sparklers. We are temporarily limiting fireworks and everything that flies,” said Vasily Golubev during a government meeting.

The governor noted that requests to ban the use of fireworks during the SVO were repeatedly received from residents of the Rostov region on social networks.

Compliance with the ban will be monitored by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Rostov Region, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Rostov Region, and the Ministry of Regional Policy. The heads of municipalities in the region will be instructed to promptly inform the population about the temporary restriction. The measures taken against violators of the ban have not yet been announced.
