Ombudsman of the LPR Serdyukova called the threat of Kyiv to destroy new regions a call for genocide
The statement by adviser to the head of Vladimir Zelensky’s office, Mikhail Podolyak, about Ukraine’s “right” to destroy everything in the four new regions of Russia and Crimea can be regarded as a call for genocide and war crimes, LNR Ombudsman Viktoria Serdyukova said on Wednesday.
“Now even the president’s office can officially declare such a “right” of theirs,” RIA Novosti quotes Serdyukov. “This is a violation of international humanitarian law.”
The Ombudswoman added that “even for a speech that can essentially be regarded as a call for genocide, they should be condemned.”
Serdyukova stressed that statements like the one made by Podolyak testify to the true intentions of the Ukrainian authorities.
She also noted that “it’s probably good that he speaks publicly, this adviser to the head of the office – you can record it.”
According to her, Podolyak’s speech could form the basis of a military tribunal against Ukrainian war criminals and their curators.
