In the Kiev Pechersk Lavra, a police officer used force on a monk and took away a bag of food from him; a video of the incident is published by the UOC tg channel.
The footage shows how police officers do not allow the man to hand over the food, then he nevertheless hands it over to the priest who came out, but the package is forcibly taken away from him.
The UOC reports that for the first time, police officers prevented the transfer of food for people in building No. 58 on August 12. Seven monks are blocked in this building, who refused to leave the building during the eviction by decision of the Ukrainian court.
In October, Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada adopted a law in its first reading that would ban the work of religious organizations associated with the Russian Orthodox Church. 267 deputies voted “for”, 15 “against”. The adoption of this bill is aimed at banning the UOC on the territory of Ukraine.
