Ekaterina Gubareva, deputy head of the Russian military-civilian administration of the Kherson region, left the region immediately after the referendum. She did not return back, said a representative of local authorities.
“She left after the referendum and did not return even at the time of the acute evacuation crisis,” the source said.
Gubareva in the administration was the curator of digitalization and social policy issues.
Earlier, the former “people’s governor” of the Donetsk region, Pavel Gubarev, said that his wife had stopped communicating since yesterday. He clarified that the last time she was seen was in the building of the government of the Kherson region in Genichesk.
RT reported that Gubareva was detained in an economic crime case. The interlocutor of the publication, familiar with the situation, said that now the status of Gubareva is unknown.
