The state of emergency was introduced in the city of Slyudyanka, Irkutsk Region, due to the termination of heat supply to the Central District due to a breakthrough in the heating main. As informs the press service of the regional government, 137 houses with a population of about 5 thousand people, three schools, four kindergartens, as well as the central district hospital remain without heating.
“According to the head of the city of Slyudyanka Vladimir Sendziak, schools and kindergartens are closed today. Heaters have been installed in the hospital. Outside temperature minus 12 degrees. In apartments – plus 15-19 degrees. There is no threat of defrosting systems. The bypass of houses and apartments continues, ”the press service specified.
The report notes that at present, the damaged section of the heating main, six meters long, has already been replaced, but at the same time, “the need to replace one more section has been identified.” It is planned to completely eliminate the accident by 19:00 local time (14:00 Moscow time) today, December 20.
Investigators of the regional TFR on the fact of the accident carry out pre-investigation check on the grounds of a crime, under Part.1 Article. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (provision of services that do not meet security requirements). The prosecutor’s office of the Slyudyansky district also organized an audit of legislation in the field of housing and communal services and heat supply.
