An Amsterdam company has proposed a project that would allow wastewater to be used for space heating.
The corporation manager explained that the temperature of wastewater usually ranges from plus 15 to plus 18, and if heat exchangers and a bypass pipe are installed around the sewer pipe, the water in it can heat up to plus 60-70, theguardian.com reports.
The liquid will be heated by water from the shower, toilet, washing machine and dishwasher using the opposite method of operation of the refrigerator.
