State Duma Deputy Anton Gorelkin proposed that mobile operators cancel unlimited access to YouTube in order to reduce equipment wear and tear.
“…The share of American video hosting traffic varies from 30 to 50 percent, while all cellular operators have options that make it non-tariff for a modest monthly fee of 100-200 rubles,” he noted in the Telegram channel.
According to the parliamentarian, the FAS will not interfere with the decision of market participants to remove this option and count traffic from YouTube on equal terms with Russian services.
