In the autumn session, which will formally begin on September 4 with two regional weeks, eight ministers and two deputy prime ministers will speak in the State Duma. This is stated in the plan for holding government hours in the autumn session of 2023, which was reviewed by Vedomosti. Four members of the government will make national or state reports on this or that topic in the State Duma.

In the near future, the State Duma will have to adopt a corresponding resolution on the schedule of government hours. Oleg Morozov, Chairman of the State Duma Control Committee, told journalists on July 18 that the speech of government members with a national report is a “new format” that was included in the government clock system. On Tuesday, July 18, Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko, for example, made such a report in the Duma.

The State Duma has restructured its work with the government – both in terms of preparing government hours and national reports, Morozov told reporters. For the spring session, which is drawing to a close, 11 government hours are to be held and two national reports submitted. “For the next session, we are planning another seven government hours and four national reports. At the end of this calendar year, almost all deputy prime ministers, with the exception of the first deputy, and all federal ministers, with the exception of the defense minister, will speak with us, which is generally understandable, because we communicate with the defense minister in a different format,” said Morozov.
