Peskov said that the federal authorities will welcome veterans of the special operation

Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that the federal authorities are not afraid of veterans of the special military operation joining their ranks. According to him, they will only be welcomed. Earlier today, in his address to the first forum of combat veterans of the Northern Military District, the president noted that the participation of special operation fighters in public life is very important.

During the press call, a Kremlin representative was asked to comment on Vladimir Putin’s words that the participants in the military operation should have prospects not only in the army, but also in civilian life. Mr. Putin expressed his opinion about the prospects for NMD veterans at a meeting of the Supervisory Board of the platform “Russia is a Land of Opportunities”, where he, in particular, spoke with the volunteer of the military operation Ilya Shtokman, the winner of the “Leaders of Russia” management competition.

Mr. Peskov was asked if the officials were afraid of the arrival of such “muzhiks” from among the veterans as Mr. Shtokman. “And there are enough men in the federal government too, don’t forget about it. Therefore, no one is afraid of anything, everyone will greet their own,” said Mr. Peskov.

The Kremlin representative noted that the mechanism of the platform “Russia is a country of opportunities” and its organization “is precisely the main source of the formation of a personnel reserve.” He drew attention to the employment of graduates of this platform in municipal, regional and federal authorities.
