Organizers of the collection: “The delivery method has not yet been determined”

In Tatarstan, on November 3, a collection of aid will begin for the affected residents of Gaza. MK found out what it would look like.

On Wednesday, the head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov ordered the collection of humanitarian aid for the affected residents of the Gaza Strip. The organizational aspect did not take much time: today the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan announced the start of training camps. The “Zakat” charitable foundation and the republican movement “Yardam yanashi!” will take part in it. Help is at hand.”

The list of necessary items was determined jointly by the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Egyptian Red Crescent Foundation. The list of goods includes food for children and adults (mainly concentrates and canned food), hygiene products, child care products, household items and stationery. Food must be non-perishable and not require refrigeration. And the bed linen and towels are new.

The Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan said that now hospitals in the Gaza Strip require a large amount of medicines and instruments to carry out operations and treat residents. The Palestinians themselves lack basic things – blankets, flashlights, boilers.

Also, in addition to things, you can donate money to the Zakat charity foundation. Fundraising began today, and at the time of writing, 31,556 rubles had already been collected.

However, the pressing question is how exactly the cargo will be delivered. This is a huge route: from Tatarstan to the Gaza Strip. As the organizers told MK, “the delivery method has not yet been determined, while we are at the collection stage.” This issue will most likely be dealt with through the Government of Tatarstan. And the head of the press service of the Tatarstan government previously stated that the delivery of goods will be carried out with the support of the Red Crescent Society through the Rafah checkpoint, which is located on the border of Egypt and the Gaza Strip.
