The storm that hit Sevastopol a week ago caused damage worth 6.5 billion rubles, said the governor of the hero city, Mikhail Razvozhaev. According to him, the calculations are preliminary and the amount may increase.
“The damage from the storm previously amounted to 6.5 billion rubles. The amount has already been declared at the federal level,” the governor noted. He also added that compensation payments to affected citizens and legal entities will soon begin.
In Crimea, damage from the hurricane earlier appreciated almost 40 billion rubles.
On the night of November 26, Crimea and other southern regions of the country were covered by a destructive cyclone, which was called the “hurricane of the century.” On the peninsula, the resort, housing and energy infrastructure was seriously damaged by bad weather. A state of emergency was introduced in fifteen regions of the peninsula. A total of five people died on the peninsula.
