In San Francisco, a hawk was hired to work on the subway

Subway passengers in San Francisco noticed a new security guard at one of the stations.
A 5-year-old hawk named Pacman began patrolling the El Cerrito del Nort metro station, where he watches, however, not for those who do not pay fares, but for pigeons. Ricky Ortiz, the owner of Pacman, made contact with Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) to protect passengers from pigeons.
This bizarre crew patrols the area three days a week. They begin to patrol at the entrance to the subway, and then they inspect the platforms, scaring away every pigeon that flies into the station.
“It’s been a week and we’ve noticed a huge difference. While we were developing the territory, more than half of the pigeons flew away, ”the owner of the hawk said in an interview with Reuters.
Ortiz also added that he keeps the hawk from attacking the doves. So that the bird does not starve, the falconer feeds the bird during the day, thereby rewarding the work done.
