In Rybinsk, on the evening of October 26, the entrance of the UEC – Gas Turbines plant (part of Rostec) was cordoned off by the police to hand over subpoenas to the military enlistment office. Information about this is available in community “It happened in Rybinsk,” the mayor of Rybinsk, Dmitry Rudakov, confirmed to Kommersant that the summons had been served on a mass scale.
According to him, the summons were handed over by representatives of the military registration and enlistment office, and the police “were engaged in maintaining order.” The workers said that they were asked to get on the bus, where they had to sign for the summons. Dmitry Rudakov, referring to the military registration and enlistment office for Rybinsk and the Rybinsk region, said that the company evaded serving subpoenas to employees.
“The director of the enterprise called me, to which I reasonably said that if you do not serve the summons, do not be surprised if there are other ways of serving. The management of the plant is obliged to do this, if it evades, then the subpoenas are served in a different way. As far as I know from the military commissar, the leadership evaded handing the subpoenas. No deferrals were granted at this enterprise,” the official explained.
According to Kommersant’s information, on Wednesday, summonses were handed over to employees of the Slavneft-YANOS refinery in Yaroslavl in a similar way. The government of the Yaroslavl region could not promptly provide Kommersant with a comment on this issue.
