Deputies of the Ryazan City Duma at a meeting on Thursday approved the renaming of 1st Bezbozhnaya and 2nd Bezbozhnaya streets into 1st Vokzalny passage and 2nd Vokzalny passage, respectively. According to Tatyana Panfilova, chairwoman of the City Duma, the regional branch of the Union of Orthodox Women applied to rename the streets.

How informs ya62.ru, the deputies clarified that local residents in general do not need to change their registration, but they will have to make changes to the documents in the event of a passport change or when real estate is sold.

In turn, the head of the toponymic commission, Nikolai Bulychev, reminded the audience that eight dilapidated houses remained on the streets. According to him, the residents of these houses reacted calmly to the renaming of the streets, because “the most important question for them is when their houses will be demolished.” He said that the houses are falling apart, many have no running water, toilets are located on the street.

In this regard, the deputies announced that the renaming of Bezbozhnye streets was “temporary”, since when the houses were demolished, new buildings would be registered along Vokzalnaya Street, Maly Highway and Pervomaisky Avenue. However, there are no deadlines for this issue, notes ya62.ru.

“There is nothing more permanent than temporary” – quotes local publication “Side view” head of the City Duma committee on urban development and land use Sergei Deinego.
