The scandal surrounding New Year’s lights from last year has migrated into the coming year. In at least two Russian schools, parents were horrified by the image of the Snow Maiden and wrote angry letters to the Education Department. They were hurt by the fact that the granddaughter of Santa Claus was played by male representatives: in one case, a physical education teacher, in another, a high school student. “Horror! Debauchery! How long? – individual mothers wrote. “So what? – others, who, fortunately, were in the majority, did not understand. “Snegurochka, man, this is funny.”

However, the directors of creative schools were not amused when they were asked to write explanatory notes to the local Education Departments. Now comic performances with a magnifying glass will be checked for violation of traditional values.

Let us remind you that the first scandal broke out at school No. 26 in the village of Livadia, Primorsky Territory. A physical education teacher dressed up as the fairy-tale Snow Maiden. The granddaughter looked comical: the two-meter physical teacher was dressed in a short blue fur coat (but quite short – below the knees). From under its edge one could see bare male legs, black socks and sneakers. Elements of flirting in this image are difficult to detect. We can say that the male Snow Maiden looked brutal, that is, it did not violate the well-known comic technique when an artist deliberately plays a rude woman. Famous actors such as Yuri Stoyanov, Oleg Tabakov, Alexander Kalyagin in this image aroused the delight of the audience.

The school actually stated that their New Year’s Snow Maiden is the Wolf from the cartoon “Well, Just Wait,” where an evil predator disguises himself as the Snow Maiden in order to eat the Hare. By the way, Santa Claus in the school production was played by a girl, a school student. For some reason this did not offend the parents. The only complaints were against the physical education teacher.

The second “suspicious” episode happened in Kuban. At school No. 2 in the Dinsky district, the Snow Maiden was portrayed by a senior student. In the midst of the performance, he took off the Snow Maiden’s hat with braids, took off his mittens and unbuttoned one button of the Snow Maiden’s fur coat. The schoolboy performed his actions very artistically, and his appearance was clearly impressive.

As MK found out, the discord number was prepared by the school KVN team. In the same 2023, the guys took third place in the regional competition. At school, artists are loved, respected and proud. Their performance, as usual, was received with a bang.

“I can say that they have quite good and understandable jokes that you can laugh at,” the mother of one of the students of this school told the correspondent. – The performance was held exclusively for high school students. The controversial Snow Maiden appeared in a comic mini-scene, which was positively appreciated by everyone. There wasn’t a single teenager or adult in the room who misunderstood or reacted negatively. They laughed and forgot.

Yes, the guy partially unbuttoned his fur coat. But underneath there was no naked body, as in a striptease, but ordinary clothes, my mother assures.

The school said that the young artist is now confused. He is very scared by the hype, but he is supported by friends and close adults. As our interlocutor assured, he is not in danger of being expelled. “And for what? He didn’t do anything wrong, it was just a joke, and a successful one at that.”

“I am convinced that there was no malicious intent in the school performances,” Evgeniy Yamburg, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, commented on the situation. – Initiated checks are a typical reaction of the bureaucracy: no matter what happens. I will quote from the Bible: “He who fears is imperfect in love.” If teachers are tormented by checks, then they will not be able to devote themselves entirely to the educational process, and from loving teachers they will turn into supervisors.
