Momotov: Russia has a shortage of more than 4,000 judges

How report Vedomosti, Chairman of the Council of Judges of the Russian Federation Viktor Momotov said during the meeting about the shortage of judicial personnel in Russia.

According to him, today 3,581 (14.05%) positions of judges of federal courts of general jurisdiction are vacant. Another 599 vacancies (13.33%) are available for the positions of judges of federal arbitration courts.

“Because of this, the amount of work is actually distributed to existing judges, which negatively affects the workload. At the same time, the situation with court employees is even more complicated, the head of the council clarified. Staff turnover, he continued, is associated with low wages under a high workload,” – the message says.
