In Russia, the proportion of people keeping cats has once again increased, according to the Telegram channel Newsach/Dvach, citing research data.
So, at present, the share of cat owners among the inhabitants of Russia continues to grow and amounts to almost half – 49.9%.
At the same time, there are more than half as many owners of dogs – only 20.5%.
Outbred cats live in 60.3% of Russians, British – in 14.9%. Siamese cats were brought in by 3% of respondents, Maine Coons – 2.5%, Siberian – 2.1%, Persian and Sphynx – 1.8%, the study says.
