In Russia, the number of serious crimes committed by migrants has increased significantly. This was announced by the chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin.
The head of the department noted that this trend is of particular concern. So last year, 893 criminal cases were initiated against migrants under articles of murder or intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm, resulting in the death of the victim.
Bastrykin stressed that compared to 2021, the number of such cases among foreigners has increased five times at once.
In total, 4,729 reports of crimes committed by migrants were received in 2022, and 4,231 criminal cases were initiated against them, which is three times more than in 2021.
The chairman of the TFR also noted that mass fights often occur among migrants. As a rule, visitors from Central Asian countries become their participants.
