Spam traffic in mobile networks has increased by 35% since the beginning of 2023, Megafon analysts estimate. According to the operator, the number of spam calls in January was 28.5 million per month, and by August it grew to 48.5 million. We are talking about those calls that the operator filtered and did not let through to the subscriber.

A 40% increase in cellular spam was also recorded in Telecom Daily. The main reason for the increase in such calls is the massive leaks of personal data, including names and mobile phones, which have occurred repeatedly over the past year, believes Denis Kuskov, CEO of Telecom Daily.
