The State Duma passed a law increasing fines for crossing railway tracks in the wrong place
The State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted a law on increasing the fine for crossing railway tracks in the wrong place from 100 to 500 rubles. If the violation is committed in Moscow, St. Petersburg, as well as the Moscow and Leningrad regions, then the amount of the fine will be 1.5 thousand rubles.
It is noted that a corresponding change is being made to Part 5 of Article 11.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (“Actions that threaten traffic safety in railway transport and the subway”). Until now, passage along the railway tracks in unspecified places was punishable only by a warning or an administrative fine of 100 rubles.
Now, according to the law adopted by the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the amount of the fine will be increased five times and will amount to 500 rubles. In addition, the article is supplemented with a new part, which provides that for a similar violation committed in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Moscow and Leningrad regions, the violator will be fined 1.5 thousand rubles.
