This was reported to RIA Novosti by the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov in an interview with RIA Novosti.
“The first flight in an import-substituting form will take place in the near future,” said the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Deliveries of the liner will begin as soon as the aircraft receives a certificate, the minister said. At the same time, he did not rule out that the Sukhoi Superjet New could get a domestic name. To do this, Manturov noted, it is necessary to go through all the stages, including type certificates that were previously obtained on the Sukhoi Superjet.
In an interview, the minister also said that a Russian long-range aircraft is currently being developed.
Prior to this, the general director of the Ulyanovsk Instrument Design Bureau, Alexander Voit, reported that the SSJ New with Russian equipment would fly for the first time in May.
