In Russia, a new children’s and youth association “Strength is in knowledge!”

The Russian society “Knowledge” held the first founding conference of the new children’s and youth public association “Strength is in knowledge!”

As part of the event, the children presented five thematic areas in which the work will be carried out. The first is “Strength is in truth!” for children who study in depth history, social studies, local history, the second – “Strength is in energy!” for physicists and roboticists, the third – “Strength is in technology!” for those who have chosen computer science and mathematics as their profile, the fourth one is “Power is in the word!” for those specializing in the study of the Russian language, literature and creative industries, and the fifth – “Strength is in discovery!” for those whose profile is geography, biology, chemistry and ecology.

As Sergei Kiriyenko, deputy head of the presidential administration, said in welcoming the conference participants, it is very important when the guys themselves become co-authors of the changes taking place in society.

– Then knowledge, character and beliefs are formed. Knowledge is powerful when it is translated into action. Many of you yourself act as mentors for younger children, this is great and right, – Sergey Kiriyenko specified. “Without relying on roots, without relying on traditions, without relying on the history of our country, you have no support under your feet, you cannot move forward. The great power of Russia in a thousand-year history.

According to Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov, it is very important not only to unite children who are interested in different sciences into communities, but also to organize meetings and conversations with scientists, teachers, experts who will help them develop their projects.

Schoolchildren participating in the children’s and youth association will be able to take part in educational events, intellectual competitions, and do thematic projects together with mentors. In addition, the new association will allow students who are not regular participants in subject Olympiads to study individual subjects in depth and influence the content and forms of the educational process.
