In Primorsky Krai, specialists from the Aviapoisk search association discovered the crash site in 1946 of a Pe-2 bomber with three crew members on board. This was reported in the Aviapoisk Telegram channel.
The team discovered the crash site near the village of Nikolaevka, Partizansky district. “We learned the history of the aircraft in August while working in the archive of the Navy in the city of Gatchina,” the search engines report. On September 6, 1946, a Pe-2 with the number 14/475 from the third air squadron of the 17th Guards short-range bomber aviation regiment of the Pacific Fleet Air Force crashed during a training flight to the training ground.
The pilot, lieutenant Ivan Gorodchikov, air gunner-radio operator, sergeant Alexei Orlov, navigator, junior lieutenant Viktor Velichko died in the crash.
Due to the complete destruction of the aircraft and the death of the crew, the real cause of the crash could not be established.
At the crash site, a funnel formed in the forest, in which, as the search engines reported, there are large parts of the fuselage that went into the clay soil to a depth of 2.5 m.
