Press Service of the Beloyarsk Nuclear Power Plant named after V.I. I. V. Kurchatova denied reports of a fire that had started at the station. According to the press service, the station is operating normally. This information was confirmed by the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Sverdlovsk region.
“In the morning, reports appeared on the Internet about a fire at the BNPP on November 6, 2022 – this is a lie spread by unknown authors. The Beloyarsk NPP is operating normally, there are no deviations from normal operating conditions,” the report says.
On the evening of November 6, local Telegram channels, including the Main Channel of Yekaterinburg channel, reported a fire in the engine room of reactor No. 3 at the Beloyarsk NPP. Now this message is not in the Telegram channel. It has probably been removed.
One of the channels in the message about the fire referred to the Interfax agency. This morning, November 7, representatives of Interfax stated that such a message was not published on their feed, and also called the link to their agency “a fake of intruders.” In this regard, the Interfax agency intends to apply to “regulatory and law enforcement agencies.”
