A federal emergency regime was introduced in Primorye in connection with the flooding caused by Typhoon Hinnamnor. This was reported to the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The department noted. that the damage from the consequences of the typhoon already exceeds 3 billion rubles. Head of the region Oleg Kozhemyako requested the ministry introduced the state of emergency at the federal level as early as September 9th.

“This decision was made by the government commission for the prevention and liquidation of emergency situations and ensuring fire safety. Its meeting was held on September 15 under the chairmanship of the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia Alexander Kurenkov with the participation of the governor of the region Oleg Kozhemyako, ”the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported to RIA Novosti.

Typhoon Hinnamnor hit Primorye on September 5th. The monthly rainfall in half of the districts was exceeded by 50%, one death was reported. The showers stopped on 7 September. It was reported that 49 settlements were cut off from road traffic.
