The city authorities of Prague fined 14 people for trying to remove the flag of Ukraine from the building of the National Museum.
As Petr Bidlo, spokesman for the municipality of the Prague 1 district, explained, on March 11, after a rally that took place on Wenceslas Square, a group of people went to the museum, calling for the large Ukrainian flag to be removed from it.
This group of citizens was detained by law enforcement agencies. One of the active participants in the “storming of the museum” Yaroslav Popelka received a four-month suspended sentence. Another 14 activists were fined 1,000 crowns.
