Farewell to the former chairman of the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company Oleg Poptsov is taking place at this moment in Moscow.
“He really created not just television companies <...> he generally stood at the origins of all modern Russian journalism,” said Oleg Dobrodeev, general director of the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, at the ceremony.
He noted that Poptsov was a teacher for a generation of Russian journalists: “I can proudly call Oleg Maksimovich my dear teacher.”
The death of Oleg Poptsov at the age of 88 became known on October 16. The ex-head of the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company will be buried at the Vagankovsky cemetery.
