In Moscow, the court arrested the head of the anti-corruption department of the Federal Customs Service

The head of the Anti-Corruption Department of the Federal Customs Service (FCS) Dmitry Muryshov was arrested for a period of 2 months in the case of taking a bribe on an especially large scale. This decision was made by the Basmanny District Court of Moscow, choosing Muryshov as a measure of restraint in the form of detention.
Earlier it became known that a senior investigator for particularly important cases of the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation applied to the Basmanny Court with a request to take a preventive measure in the form of detention against the head of the Anti-Corruption Department of the FCS of Russia. Muryshov Dmitry Nikolaevich is accused of committing crimes under Part 6 of Article 290, Part 6 of Article 290, Part 3 of Article 290, Part 3 of Article 30, Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
Muryshov’s defense requested that the accused be placed under house arrest. But the court did not agree with the arguments of the defense and placed the general in a pre-trial detention center.
Recall that Dmitry Muryshov is 50 years old. He received a higher education in history, served in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation for more than twenty years, and since 2018 has worked in the Federal Customs Service – first as an adviser to the head, and then as head of the anti-corruption department.
